Congressman McIntyre stated, “Good quality water is vital to everyday life, and these federal funds will help bring better service to Pender County residents. Residents in this area now rely on individual private wells, and many do not meet current state regulations and provide poor quality water. The project will consists of approximately 101,000 linear feet of water distribution lines, 50 fire hydrants, and various meters, hydrants, and valves. This project will provide potable water service to approximately 700 residential users. Congressman McIntyre is Chairman of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Rural Development. |
